Dear members of the ESCP Alumni and HEC Paris Alumni community,
As part of the research activities of the Cartier ESCP HEC Paris research chair, we are looking for participants interested in joining a one-off reflection group on the terminology of sustainability across languages and cultures.
This reflection group will bring together a small number of alumni.

When: July 5th, 2023
Time: 8h30 - 10h30 AM.
Format: Breakfast
Where: 43 Parker Street WC2B 5PS London
Tube: Holborn, Covent Garden, Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Square.
Dateline: Answer needed before the 21st of June 2023
A year and a half ago, a survey of more than 900 HEC and ESCP francophone alumni revealed that most of them considered the French term "sustainable development" inadequate, or at least incomplete, to talk about all the actions carried out within companies for the environment and a more just society.
We are now looking at extending our research into other languages and cultures and are looking for participants who work in English and another language (except French, covered last year) to discuss the terminology and vocabulary of sustainability. Our objective is to understand how different languages and cultural contexts may convey different representations and perceptions of sustainability.
If you are interested and available on July 5, click here and please get in touch with us.
If you are not available on this date and can think of an ESCP Alumni who could replace you, please contact plebas@escpalumni.org as soon as possible.
Yours sincerely,
Professor Benjamin Voyer - ESCP and co-Scientific Director, Research Chair Turning Points, Cartier - ESCP - HEC Paris
Professor Anne Laure Sellier - HEC Paris and co-Scientific Director, Research Chair Turning Points, Cartier - ESCP - HEC Paris
