This session will introduce you to the principles of personal negotiation, consideration and assessment of the elements that make up a typical package, enabling you to identify what is really important to you and what can be traded. A structured 10-step model will be introduced and negotiation strategies will be discussed.
By the end of the session you will be able to:
- Rank order your priorities when negotiating your terms of employment
- Plan the process of negotiating your employment package minimising the risk of losing a job opportunity by commanding a salary far above the range for the position
- Effectively execute the negotiation process to reach a mutually acceptable agreement with your employer
